I must be getting some life threatening illness or something, I created 2 more debian related howto documents this evening. That makes 3 howto’s in a week! 
The two new howto’s are for recompiling a kernel the Debian way and for installing/configuring lm-sensors under Debian. I will also be creating another howto with specific instructions on how to compile a new Debianized kernel from the kernel sources found at kernel.org and also including kernel source tree patches for those who require such a thing. Just covers the most common aspects of compiling a new kernel.
On that note, I have spent aaaaages whinging and moaning about how the stock Denian kernels would only ever detect 900Mb of my machine’s 1024Mb of ram installed but I found today that its all because of the kernel config option of CONFIG_HIGHMEM4G=y not being set. Once set, I can see the full amount of ram I have installed on my workstation. 
More howto’s are in progress too as my next task is to get ALSA running on this machine. I go on holidays soon, so i will have lots of time to play around.
