on a mission
right, I am attempting to implement LDAP & NIS using Debian over this weekend… wish me the best. With any luck, I will have some related howto’s churned out if all goes well.

I have been busy today and have added another 2 howto documents.
The first being Debian, SSL Certificates and Certificate Authorities and the second being Debian dvd::rip clustering.
The latter has been sitting there waiting unfinished for a while so I finally finished it and committed it to cvs and the first was written from scratch today from my episode with apache-ssl and certificates last night.

Welcome to the new year… 2004… where is my flying car dammit?!
Things are going well at the moment, work is still really kewl. One of the major things I am working on is a Grid computing solution which is the first of its kind to be implemented by IBM in the southern Hemisphere. I have been working on this for the past week or two. Based on some ibm HS20 Blade Servers running RedHat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 with datasynapse grid software, its pretty damn quick.
I haven’t taken any annual leave this xmas/new years period due to the fact that I took my annual leave in September again. Means I have been working every day that isn’t a public holiday which kinda sucks arse but i’m not too worried about it really… work is suprisingly good ![]()
