oh the joys of ldap
Well… I spend countless hours on the weekend wasting my brain away over the task of configuring LDAP on Debian. Sadly I didn’t fully complete what I had set out to do. There seems to be a great abundance of information about LDAP, but almost all of the howto’s, guides or web sites with any information are all missing critical components. After 2 days of fighting with configurations and such I decided to settle the score with a nice bottle of red 
Needless to say, the configuration here at home is still only 3/4 complete and likewise with its howto. I dare not go back and see how many times my howto document was updated and modified on my private wiki.
Hopefully if time permits, I will get the rest of it done next weekend. I also want to get NIS sorted so lets hope I can get started on that around the same time
