It has been a while between posts, and a lot has happened between them.
I am now the proud father of 2 awesome cats! Their names are Sam and Jesse, both are 17 months old. I just completed all the paperwork at the local council, changing ownership from the previous owners who also live in our apartment block who have been trying to find them a new home (I don’t think they realise the cats have been living with us for the past 6 months (our balconies are joining)). They are brother and sister, tho you’d never know if you looked at them:
A side effect of falling in love with these cats is that we have to move out of our apartment block as they do not allow pets. This also adds fuel to the fire as I am sick and tired of apartment life, having to deal noisy neighbours banging and drilling upstairs and also the next door neighbour who smokes outside and lets her cigarette smoke drift into our windows and thus throughout our apartment… GRRR (spot my pet hate, being an ex-smoker)!!!!
Another change in the past few weeks, is that I have become a Linux Technical Leader in my team. “With great power, comes great responsibility” and thus has been taking a good chunk more of what little social life I had left. Oh well, things should get better when more staff come onboard. Nonetheless it is very interesting and I’m enjoying it a lot.
In light of the above events relating the cats, I will hopefully be moving house in the next few weeks and may not *gasp!* get ADSL in my new place… I surely hope it doesn’t come to this as I really *REALLY* can’t think of life less than 1.5Mb… *whimpers* I just hope it all turns out good in the end, we’ll see what happens…
